I love the exuberance and creativity that burst from these pages. As a mom I must admit my relationship with glitter and therefore feelings about this book are a bit mixed, but this book is so much fun.
The rhyming text is brief and lively. The idea is so fun and captures childhood perfectly. The illustrations are my favorite part. I’m fascinated by the 3-D diorama process Samantha Cotterill used to create the pictures. Look closely and you will marvel at the way the photography makes the illustrations feel more alive and the way she integrated texture into the book.
A well constructed, well crafted, delightful book that will leave you wanted to add glitter to your life.
This book is a ton of fun to read, but it also makes me want to get my hands on some glitter. If it leaves you feeling inspired as well, then these activities below are for you.
